(Savannah, GA.) – December 7, 2016 marks the 75th Anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. The assault lasted two hours, resulting in the destruction of 20 American naval vessels, 300 airplanes, and the loss of over 2,000 American lives. Before the September 11 attacks, it was the single worst loss of life that our nation had ever seen.

The following day, President Franklin D. Roosevelt addressed the nation somberly regarding the tragedy, concluding with a plea to Congress: “I ask that the Congress declare that since the unprovoked and dastardly attack by Japan on Sunday, December 7, a state of war has existed between the United States and the Japanese empire.” And thus, America had no choice but to renounce our neutrality, and enter the war which had already shaken the rest of the world.

This December, Nine Line Apparel is excited to partner with American Heroes Channel (AHC) to honor not only those who lost their lives that fateful day, but also those who fought back amidst the shock and panic of the surprise attack. There were men who gave their lives to see their crews to safety as their ships sank into the sea, men who manned machine guns surrounded by incoming fire, and men who set up ammunition supplies for gunners to defend against the Japanese attackers.  These are the soldiers that will be highlighted in AHC’s all-new special, PEARL HARBOR: THE HEROES WHO FOUGHT BACK, which premieres Wednesday, December 7 at 10/9c.

Available now, Nine Line will print and sell a co-branded Pearl Harbor commemorative designed t-shirt on their website, and AHC will promote the partnership on air and online at AHCTV.com. The design will be on sale from Friday, December 2 through Friday, December 16.

Complete details of the Pearl Harbor program are as follows:
