Any chance to write about dead terrorists is a good one. And that’s the word we’re getting from the DOD.

For those of you who aren’t following, the Iraqi military along with members of US special forces have been moving into Mosul all month. They’ve been making important headway into ISIS controlled territory and, as mentioned already, making way for a dramatic increase in body count.

But wait — there’s more! Indeed, US forces have been doing targeted drone attacks and airstrikes all throughout Syria as well, taking out important and influential targets and ensuring that the efforts that allied coalition forces will be making into Syria are adequately “prepped” by air assets prior to.

A Good Day for Coalition Forces

In Iraq alone, the DOD released that it conducted eight strategic strikes in Iraq and thirteen in Syria. This lead to a better-than-usual battle damage assessment. It’s like Christmas came early.

A Summary of the Damage

The results from the strikes are as follows:

In Iraq, coalition forces destroyed an ISIS IED factory, several tactical units, one sniper position, an ISIS headquarters building, many vehicles, destroyed a supply route, damaged a key bridge, and at least seven vehicles. For one day, that’s quite a lot of damage and something that we should all be proud of our military for accomplishing.

In Syria, coalition forces destroyed 19 vehicles, including six tanker trucks, four oil wellheads used for supplying ISIS with revenue, tactical units and fighting positions, a munitions supply center  and several tunnel systems.

This is truly a victorious accomplishment that is doubtlessly making a difference in the fight against ISIS. All of that will lead to a swifter and safer incursion for ground forces once they’re ready to move into cities like Raqqa, as the DOD has planned, but it’s running into some trouble. Let’s hope that the coalition we’ve backed there can reconstitute itself and continue the push deeper into Raqqa and liberate it from the oppression of the Islamic State.

What’s Next?

The US-led coalition has made some serious inroads in Mosul, but these strikes do a great job of demonstrating that our military can and will keep an eye on all threats in the region. We have a fighting force that’s currently operating all over the globe — and indeed, it’s carrying the fight to the enemy in every dark corner of the Earth.

At Nine Line News, we’re incredibly proud of these developments, and invite you to share in our unified hatred of ISIS with a share a round with ISIS shirt from one of Nine Line Apparel’s best collections ever.

It’s a great reminder, no matter where you are, that this country is beyond amazing and we will hunt down the enemies of this country, and they will be terminated with extreme prejudice.
