Assaults on police continue; media ignores Nine Line News Team October 6, 2020 Nine Line News 150 Remember when the news was all about riots and protests against “systemic racism” in law enforcement? That was before President Trump and members of his inner circle just HAPPENED to all contract the COVID-19 virus. Meanwhile, violence against police continues in Seattle and Portland, but for some reason, the mainstream media doesn’t seem that interested. As the Daily Wire reports, riots broke out again in Seattle on Saturday night. The Seattle Police Department released photos showing graffiti spray painted on various buildings calling for police officers to be murdered. Per the Daily Wire, Law enforcement officials “arrested 16 individuals after various acts of property destruction, assault, and vandalism” that occurred during the riot, according to the police department. “A group of protestors left Cal Anderson Park shortly after 9 PM Saturday heading North. A few members of the group were seen committing acts of vandalism and property damage along the way. The group slowly made their way to the 1600 block of East Olive Way where they shattered windows and threw explosives into a coffee shop.” The police department said that arrests were also made for failure to disperse and rendering criminal assistance after the rioters attacked police officers with what officials said was an “explosive.” Meanwhile, in Portland, an officer was assaulted in his patrol car on Sunday morning. John B Russell, 41, was arrested for smashing out the window of a police cruiser and pepper-spraying the interior. After the attack, the officer relayed the suspect’s description over the radio, and police located the vehicle about six blocks away. Inside Russell’s vehicle, officers said they discovered window punch tools, pepper spray, throwing knives, a laser pointer, a slingshot, rocks, and other items, which were all seized as evidence. Also arrested in a separate incident was Jeffrey Richard Singer, 33, of Portland, an active member of Antifa. He was arrested at the violent protest and charged with felony assault of an officer, among other charges. He was released without bail. And there’s nothing to indicate he won’t do all of this again. After all, he was talking about it years ago. #Antifa militant Jeffrey R. Singer, who was arrested (& released) overnight, previously went on an expletive-laden tirade at city council meeting. Antifa were broadcasting their agenda in public years ago: "This is Little Beirut…You are laying the seeds for a f—ng insurrection" pic.twitter.com/9z6dGCcY8W — Andy Ngô (@MrAndyNgo) October 5, 2020 But don’t worry…according to Joe Biden, Antifa is just an “idea.” A very bad idea. Armed, funded and organized. Portland Police Chief Chuck Lovell said, “As police officers, we know that the vast majority of community members who approach and contact us do so with no intention to do us harm. However, attacks like this one remind us all that there is the potential for people to try to take direct violent action against police officers.” The two deputies in Los Angeles who were ambushed in their vehicle know only too well. They’re now recovering from the assault and will required extensive reconstructive surgery. The suspect in their shooting, Deonte Lee Murray, was arrested September 15 after a lengthy standoff with police – unrelated to the ambush. Murray was previously charged with one felony count each of carjacking, second-degree robbery and assault with a semiautomatic firearm. After Murray’s arrest, Sheriff Alex Villanueva said “It’s part of the environment we’re in right now. It’s a scary situation in the sense that there are people that have such deep-seated hatred towards law enforcement they’re willing to just kill, unprovoked.” We live in scary times indeed. Thank GOD for the bravery of our law enforcement officers who every day put on their uniforms and continue to put their lives on the line.
