Navy secretary FIRED in bizarre twist of SEAL Gallagher’s case Nine Line News Team November 25, 2019 In The Press, Veteran Inspired 704 To learn more about our mission, visit: www.ninelineapparel.com Seriously folks, you can’t make this sh*t up. In just a week’s span of time, here’s what happened… President Trump restored SOC Eddie Gallagher’s rank, paving the way for Gallagher to retire peacefully on November 30th with his full benefits and honors intact. Then the Navy essentially said not so fast there, buckaroo. No matter what Trump thinks, we’re proceeding with a Trident Review Board to determine whether Eddie should be stripped of his Trident and kicked out of the SEALs. Then President Trump called BS on that, tweeting “The Navy will NOT be taking away Warfighter and Navy Seal Eddie Gallagher’s Trident Pin. This case was handled very badly from the beginning. Get back to business!” Then Navy Secretary Richard Spencer called BS on that, telling the White House a tweet is not an official order, and if the president is ordering the Navy to end the Trident Review Board of Gallagher, he needs to do it formally. Then Spencer, along with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley and Secretary of Defense Mark T. Esper spoke to President Trump on Friday intending to persuade him to go through with the review board. Except Spencer had his own secret plan. According to Fox News, Spencer had asked Trump to let the Navy review board go forward, promising that the board would, in the end, allow Gallagher to keep his Trident and rank, effectively alluding to his willingness to fix the results of the board. Trump called BS on that, rejected the offer and said, “no, we’re done.” When Esper found out about Spencer’s backchannel plan, he called BS on Spencer, and asked for his resignation. Spencer quit on Sunday. Aaand…Fox reports Esper has ordered that Gallagher be allowed to keep his Trident pin, noting that it would be nearly impossible for him to get a fair hearing from the military in light of recent events. No sh*t Sherlock. At least for now, it appears Eddie will finally be able to move on. President Trump has already nominated a successor to Spencer. I was not pleased with the way that Navy Seal Eddie Gallagher’s trial was handled by the Navy. He was treated very badly but, despite this, was completely exonerated on all major charges. I then restored Eddie’s rank. Likewise, large cost overruns from past administration’s….. — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 24, 2019 But here’s the thing…if you look at the mainstream media reports of this mess, you’ll see the headlines have a flavor of this is all Trump’s fault. He meddled. Navy Secretary forced out after Trump’s war crimes intervention causes division and chaos in military (CNN) SECNAV Richard V. Spencer Removed Over Gallagher Deal With White House (USNI News) Navy secretary strongly considering resigning over Trump’s meddling in SEAL case (NBC News) You’d be hard-pressed to find any mention of the fact that Trump rejected the “secret deal.” And also rather ignored in all of this is Eddie’s exoneration. But Eddie Gallagher knows what’s what. In a statement to Pete Hegseth on Fox News he said, “President Donald Trump, you have my deepest gratitude and thanks. You stepped in numerous times and showed true moral fiber by correcting all the wrongs that were being done to me. You are a true leader and exactly what the military and this nation needs. God bless you and your family.” And God bless you and your family as well, Eddie. Nine Line is an American Clothing Company with American made Apparel and Accessories- Veteran Owned and Operated
