U.S. Drops MOTHER OF ALL BOMBS on Afghanistan admin April 13, 2017 Veteran Inspired 97 In the wake of the killing of a Green Beret by ISIS militants in Afghanistan, the US has responded by dropping the largest non-nuclear bomb in the Achin district of the Nangarhar province in Afghanistan. The bomb, a whopping 21,600 pound, 30 foot-long guided weapon, is known as the MOAB, “Massive Ordnance Air Blast Bomb”, also known as the “Mother of All Bombs”. To put the size of this munition into perspective, the Tomahawk missiles launched at Syria last week weigh in at a meager 1,000 pounds each. It has a blast radium of one mile in each direction. Dropped Thursday at 7:00 PM local time, the target was ISIS personnel and tunnels that have been identified in the province. Tested in 2003, this is the first militaristic use of the weapon. Officials are standing by to assess the damage. See the MOAB in action: [embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9H50tHiHjs[/embedyt] Love seeing the US kick ass and take names?
