Nine Line steps up for veteran and his family Nine Line News Team September 24, 2020 Nine Line News 318 Nine Line Apparel was founded at the start as a give-back company for our brothers and sisters who have served or are serving our nation in uniform. Throughout our history, we have supported individuals and organizations in need with fundraising and other initiatives. Many of our special edition designs have a fundraising component, and we are proud to donate a portion of our sales to these efforts. We’re part of a community of veteran-owned companies like Black Rifle Coffee, and Enlisted Nine Fight Company. Recently, one of our veteran brothers, Dan Alarik, and his family have fallen on hard times. Dan lost his job as CEO of Grunt Style, an apparel company, leaving him and his family with no source of income. Dan’s wife, Liz, is fighting breast cancer, and needs treatment for at least 12 more months. One of their baby twins, Eli, has a cranial deformity which requires special attention and equipment for the rest of this year and into the next. Dan and Liz set up a GoFundMe page and quickly raised over $62,000. They’ve since shut down their page. But we know Liz still has a fight ahead. It may not seem possible, but next week is already October. (Lots of people think 2020 can’t go fast enough, but here we are). Since 1985, October has been designated Breast Cancer Awareness month. Funds raised from the sale of our limited design breast cancer awareness apparel will be donated to the breast cancer research foundation Liz chooses. You know, we’ve been recently bombarded by the statistics of COVID-19 in America, which has infected about two percent of the U.S. population. But for reference, about twelve percent of U.S. women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of their lifetimes. What’s more, 40,000 women in the U.S. are expected to die from breast cancer in 2020. It’s not an insignificant number. For the 6th year in a row, Nine Line Apparel is once again proud to help support the fight against breast cancer. And help out one of our fellow veteran’s family. We want to be a Nine Line for America. And to all of those who have served, we’ve got your six. https://nine.li/JoinTheFight
